Nothing ready to be voted on but we have had a few rules in 10+ years here are a few ideas 1. RFA Rights cannot be traded, you can match or not but rights are simply rights 2. UFA's not raised on in 24 hours are signed by the bidder, if one bid goes to 48 3. Add MI, CI and keep one Utility versus two 4. Waived players still count against salary for current season even when cleared 5. Players must be a MLB free agent or in minors prior to signing Share your thoughts or other ideas as well 1. Someone would have to explain the "why" in this proposal because I can not initially see any reason to implement this. 2. Does potentially shorten the bidding window on some UFA's if that is the objective but likely would result in more waiver moves as need to create roster space to get a bid in within the 24 hours is created ... 3. Simply puts more emphasis on carrying more infielders and less outfielders ... right now both UT could be OF's, with this rule only 1 could be an OF and there would be more roster pressure to carry more infielders. 4. If approved the year it is implemented should be further out then next year as it will unfairly penalize teams which have waiver spots filled longer then 1 more year (roster decisions made under current rules). 5. As a person who closely follows Cuban, college and high school baseball I am opposed but I do understand the rationale behind it ...
