In the past we have had a limit of 40 with 2 adds (to 42) during the season.
Due to the time zone issue, there will be no increase inseason.
I said we will limit it to 40 in a previous thread, but I am open for discussion.
Points that have been raised are room for prospects and season-ending injuries.
Here are 2 possibilities for starters:
1. 40 is the limit 2. 40 is the active limit, with a “vault” of 2 inactive players.
We could have a “vault” where we could place 2 players, either prospects (perhaps a recently drafted stud) or players injured long term (SP headed for Tommy John surgery or position player with a badly broken leg) or just any player on your roster you feel you won‘t need that year. Placement is strictly the choice of the owner. The player may be healthy, sick, in the minors, suspended, etc. Once placed in your “vault”, the player CANNOT be used that year. Once a player is put in your “vault” , he cannot be moved back to your active roster. He can be waived, but he cannot be reclaimed until after the season is over, if he is still your responsibility. If reclaimed, he would be on your offseason active roster. Players in their last year of a contract may NOT be placed in your “vault”. Once placed in your “vault” the player does not count against your 40 man roster. This means you can have a active roster of 40 and 2 players in your “vault” that you cannot use that year. Players may be placed in your “vault” before or during the season.
