Summary:
A's and Red Sox are predicted as clear 1 and 2. White Sox, Giants and Pirates to battle over 3rd, 4th and 5th, although each of the three were given one 7th place rank. Rockies and Phils to battle for the last playoff spot. Rangers, Braves, Indians and Cubs are tightly packed also-rans. Mets, Astros and Brewers to battle for the bottom.
Last years poll was pretty accurate. Bosox and Rangers (ranked 1 and 2) indeed made the WS. White Sox and A's (ranked 4th and 5th) each made the playoffs.
The Giants (ranked 3rd) missed the playoffs by 4 games. The Astros (now called the Braves) picked for 6th, finished in 10th, allowing the 7th and 8th ranked teams, Pirates and Indians to make the playoffs.
All teams ranked 9th through 14th last year had losing W-L records
