An overwhelming turnaround in this revote. Our owners saw merit in this rule earlier and voted for it. It has become annoying and owners want to dump it. While I agree it is cumbersome and slows the flow of players, there is indeed merit in this rule.
If we dump this rule and tomorrow a trade and waive is done, both teams reacquire their high $ player at a reduced CAP. I don't think that would be in the best interests of the league. I could give a myriad of examples, but suppose Pujols and MCAB are traded and waived. They will clear waivers as no one could claim them and then be reacquired by their original owner at a much lower cost as they would have the CAP to bid more than others but less than the original CAP. This doesn't appear to be a problem with low CAP players.
With that in mind, I am releasing all players whose CAP hit is, or was, under $25 from this rule. In other words, the rule, henceforth, will be applied only to players whose CAP is $25 or larger. This means there are only 32 players (I think) to watch.
I thought about making it $20, but I think $25 is OK.
