We will vote on adding two roster spots for regular season. We will either add two general spots, two DL spots or do nothing at all. Please vote for one option.

So is this effective next season? Seems odd to implement a new rule after the majority of the bidding/roster setting is completed as I suspect some GMs would have gone about their respective business somewhat differently if an expanded roster had been available.

We have almost two full months till season. We can implement for this year. I was going to wait but felt an itch to throw out the poll. Wanted to gauge the interest and seems to be doing well.

My assumption is most would implement this year if I’m not mistaken. I could be wrong.

And honestly we have owners participation more now then when originally brought up as well as a new owner . What the heck right...it’s an old rule we’re bringing back into the fold nothing too bad. Let’s get this party started right...isn’t that a song?

I’d increase it now just to give us something to do next few weeks lol. But agreement was regular season.

I think your time frame of two months til the season is a bit off. I think it's 3 1/2 weeks away, March 29.

Listen like I said I was gonna shelve it till next year but figured we’d have all Owners on deck to vote why not see what happens. Again was watching ST game and it hit me...man would be nice to take a chance on a guy not in my plans. Or grab that Vet who signed late.

I didn’t have a master plan on timing. Just an impulsive older dude. I have less than $10 so it’s not like I set myself up for this thought pattern.

Again though it’s passing so most seem to feel it’s a viable option for this year.

Given there was discussion on this idea earlier, implementing this policy at the start of the 2018 regular season (when there is time for all teams to either adjust or get ready) is a great idea.

This would only benefit teams with cash left over and to put it in place after UFA/RFA seems odd

Nothing normal about me. And like I said it was an odd moment...an epiphany-you might say. But I see benefits and I have no money left. Seems most agree with me so far. Still have two to vote.

These spots were not designed to add another superstar. Was for those DL guys that are getting you down. The young guy you wanna watch for a year see if he’s worth keeping. Never intended this to be a strategy thing. That’s how i interpreted the discussions we had. That’s why I always asked Why. Why do you want extra spots. Don’t recall it was so we could have more room for top guys. These are truly players 41,42 on your 42 man roster...
