[League Constitution] [Waivers/Retirements/Trades/Playoffs]
A player may be waived at any time except the time from the beginning of the playoffs until free agency bidding begins. Exception: if Player A is waived just before the playoffs, his 48 hour waiver period continues to it's natural end. If Player A is claimed, the new owner may waive Player B, if it is necessary to comply with roster limits. A player waived after the bid deadline (when the playoffs start), may only be claimed by a non-playoff team. Should a successful claiming team need to waive for roster compliance, again, only a non-playoff team may claim. No deadline would exist should a chain of required waives occur.
