Always good to remind of Rules for offseason. This is for all your young multi year guys and how you can cancel the contract if that player isn't still wanted:
[League Constitution] [Bidding/Years/Prospects]
Prospects are defined as having less than 130 ABs or 50 IP (career) in the major leagues.
1. Prospects will continue to follow the same bidding rules as major leaguers.
2. If a prospect is waived between the beginning of March and the beginning of our playoffs and he has cleared waivers and he has less than 130 ABs or 50 IP (career) in the major leagues at the end of the baseball season and posted in Contract Cancellation by the owner, the remainder of the contract is then cancelled. The owner has no further responsibility.
3. If a prospect is waived in the offseason (end of playoffs through the end of February) and he has cleared waivers and he has less than 130 ABs or 50 IP (career) in the major leagues and posted in Contract Cancellation by the owner, the remainder of the contract is then immediately cancelled. The owner has no further responsibility.
4. A player waived and contract cancelled, as described above, shall not be bid on by that owner until the player has a minimum of 130 ABs or 50 IP (career).
5. An owner is limited to two such prospect contract cancellations per year (The year starts with the cancellations that qualify at the end of the baseball season and ends with those qualified and waived before the end of February).
6. If an owner has had a prospect contract cancelled, he may not acquire that player in a trade or waivers or otherwise for the duration of the original contract for less than the player's CAP hit at the time of cancellation, unless the player was no longer a prospect at the time the player's most recent bidding thread began.
