I stand by what I said before ... it is not right to change the rules during the year, It should take effect after this season is completed - but you obviously have your mind made up. I believe it establishes a poor precedent.

Need to do it after season is over. Also teams with cap room will add a super star. If you want this for a different reason then it needs to be specified. Meaning DL spots or prospect slots

Just for discussion... I don't see this as any big advantage to add a superstar. They are already rostered. But it would add slots for DL or prospects that you may want to look at. Makes it interesting at the end of year when rosters have to go down to 40, what players get waived and picked up. Just another piece that keeps it interesting. we had it before but for some reason reduced to 40. I think to make a little bigger pool available.
I don't care if it is now or next year. Just want to know when it goes in effect.

11 of 14 welcome the change? Not sure voting again will adjust that number much. And my mind was made up to allow league to decide. 11 Owners decided how to move forward not me forcing it or attempting to set a new precedent.

we have always implemented changes the following year. I'm ok with now but Brewers has a point to what we have always done. and I think he is one of the original members so he should know.
SO, if we do it now and not next year, it should probably be voted on. I don't think this a big deal and don't mean to make it such, just trying to understand the Brewers and Nats' view(maybe others). It has already passed, lets vote on when to start. March 22, 2018 or 2019?

It was a rule to add 2 players DURING the regular season. If it is to begin this year, then it should NOT start until opening day, March 29.

I’m fine with that just wanted to accommodate those who seem to have concerns with a little earlier start. Opening day makes sense and works for me.

For most rule changes, I am with the Brewers - start it next season before the bidding takes place.

I think this rule is the rare exception.

For teams with DL challenges it will be good. For teams not in contention this year, it will be good (can add castoffs or prospects to help next year's team).

For teams that may be healthy it can be bad - more choices to pick from, more missed points for benched players to generate.

I have no objection to implementing this rule for opening day 2018.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what the problem is? The season hasn't started, there are no Major Stars for someone to spend whatever money they have and I'm fine with it starting on Opening Day.

I see no reason to do this but agree with WS it should start when the season starts and also
End last game, no more than 40. It’s 11/14 so resistance is futile
